Ziad's Keep - (AKA The World's Biggest Building)
My very first ever Minecraft megastructure ever completed. I originally designed this plaza back in mid-2013 on a separate world in Minecraft Java Edition version 1.4.8 on a Tunneler's Dream super flat world preset. It features several small annex buildings and mezzanines and underground floors in the main structure going all the way down to Bedrock.

Over time, the keep kept on receiving several expansions with the structure getting a six-story, four-basement east wing expansion constructed out of Bedrock, and five additional floors were added to the southern mezzanine constructed out of Obsidian and Stone blocks. In 2020, A four-story JCPenney store on the site's northern elevation would be constructed out of bedrock and later expanded.
In August 2024, this structure would eventually make it into Ziadopolis's Architectural Heritage Site on the city's western outskirts. Because a minority of the structure is going to bedrock, the original structure was converted into a bedrock world, structure blocks were used to copy nine 64x64 areas around the structure from the fourth basement all the way up to the roof.
In 2025, Ziad's Keep would undergo a massive interior overhaul, leveling the original building (5 aboveground floors) with the 6-story expansion. The JCPenney store was expanded and got an exterior renovation. Some of the original freefall holes with multicolored blocks and annex buildings would be demolished to make way for some high-rise developments and a replica of The Bon Marche and Frederick & Nelson department stores in Seattle (coming in separate posts). A small portion of the bedrock expansion would be demolished for a Blackstone expansion which would connect with a 3-story Restoration Hardware Gallery.
