Frederick & Nelson Department Store Replica
Here is my replica of Seattle's Legendary Frederick & Nelson department store as it looks from the mid-80s until Nordstrom transformed it in 1997. I have yet to work on the store's interior.

It was originally designed as a 5-story, 2-basement building with a 6th floor penthouse by John Graham Sr. in 1916 and later expanded by 5 floors by his son, John Graham Jr. in 1952, thus having two basements and ten above-ground floors. The original building was constructed out of white terracotta and marble and had a neo-renaissance style. In the replica, the white terracotta was substituted for Quartz blocks, bricks, and chiseled Quartz blocks. The black and white marble outside the first floor of the original structure were substituted for polished Diorite and Blackstone.
The company was founded in 1891 and had 25 locations in Washington and Oregon at its peak in 1980 before going out of business in 1992. More details available on The Department Store Museum Blogspot here: The Department Store Museum: Frederick & Nelson
